Outsourcing Work And Your Own Employees
If you go for outsourcing work, actual productivity and morale among your remaining employees may suffer. Company identity will be fragmented, as whole chunks of the business are done by strangers. There will be a lack of transparency between departments, and there could be barriers to needed information-sharing because one outsourcing company can’t send the necessary data to another outsourcing company.
The employees you have left are also not likely to feel any loyalty to a business that appears ready to sacrifice their jobs, any time the chance arises to save money. This will especially be the case if they see all those supposed “savings” go not to them, but into management’s pockets, while they themselves might be asked to take lower salaries under threat of having their own work outsourced to people, maybe even buitenlandse arbeidskrachten (foreign workers) who will charge less. Under such circumstances, they will put in the least amount of effort they can get away with, for the company.
