Bad dog food breath!
My dog has terrible breath! I have tried all sorts of things to get rid of it and have had no success so far. He didn’t have bad breath as a puppy it started about 6 months ago and he is now 3 years old. It’s a shame because I am sure he knows I don’t like it because I shy away when he comes near me with his head first! I have even tried cleaning his teeth but it is a battle because he keeps trying to chew the toothbrush and the toothpaste goes everywhere as well as him dripping the water everywhere. I bought some dog biscuits too that had parsley in them and some with mint in them each of which made him sick. A friend has suggested it is something to do with what I am feeding him.
The dog food I gave him when he was a puppy was special puppy food and he had that puppy food for about a year before moving on to a mixture of tinned dog food and dry natural dog food mixed together. I then started to give him more of the tinned dog food and less of the dry natural dog food because it seemed too dry and, to be honest, the tinned dog food looked more tasty and interesting than the dry natural dog food. My friend has suggested that it may be a build up of the tinned dog food in his mouth and on his tongue and generally in his system that may be causing the bad breath so she suggested a complete dog food that has only good things in it
