Times have changed some. The days are gone of the family gathering across the table, playing some simple card games, or use chess sets, and connecting over a shared event and experience with every other. Instead these days we all have our personal computers, personal televisions, personal wireless online devices, personal rooms, personal reading lamps, personal couches, personal DVD players and DVRs, own shows, own interests, and for a lot of families, personal dinners.
War may be the first that comes to mind when a person hear easy greeting card games. It is a 2 player game, and it’s really easy. Just take a regular 52 greeting card deck, shuffle it thoroughly, and count out twenty six cards for each player. Keep the cards face down about the table. Every player then turns a card, and whoever has the greater greeting card wins and collects both. This continues until the players turn a card of the same value. At this stage, those 2 cards tend to be put within the pot within the middle, together with 3 other cards from every deck. Finally, every player then turns a card and whoever has the highest wins all ten cards.
