Finding Reclaimed Wood
Using reclaimed wood is wonderful for the environment and your budget, but the average building supply store doesn’t generally have a large supply of this wood. So, if you want reclaimed wood for your project, you may have to do a little searching. There are different types of reclaimed wood so when you search be sure to be specific so that you can find exactly what you need for your project.
The first and easiest step is to search the internet. Look up reclaimed wood through a local listing and search through the results for locations in your area that sell the wood. Another option is Craig’s List. There are hundreds of free items being given away each day and some of them are unwanted building materials such as wood or bricks.
