Most pet owners prefer to name their pets according to their physical appearance. They have been called names such as Pepper, Honey, Sugar and even Salt and these names all sound good to name a furry adorable creature like a chinchilla. There are other names you can call your chinchilla too such as Spot, Fluffy or Speckles. The name you call your pet can be based on how you, as a pet owner describes it – such as Hefty for a plump chinchilla or Whimpy if he is skinny or small. Sonar is also a popular name among chinchillas because of their big ears that seem to catch every sound in their environment.
