Symptoms of Menopause: Menopause Headaches
One of the effects of the change of life that women go through as they age is menopause headaches. These are thought to be caused by the hormonal changes that the body goes through later in life. With the change in hormone levels, some women experience such side effects as hot flashes, mood swings, and depression, but headache is much more common. The good news is that many of these pains can be treated by over the counter pain killers such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen and don’t require much more. However, a small percentage of women do require stronger medications and in this case, a thorough review by a doctor is required to make sure that the proper diagnosis is obtained.
